Anadolu Sigorta Recognized at The IDC Future Enterprise EMEA Awards and 5th IDC Turkey DX Summit

Anadolu Sigorta has been recognized at The IDC Future Enterprise EMEA Awards for its “AS’lı Yapay Zeka ile Cam Onarım/Değişim Tespit” project based on the “Repair Instead of Replace” principle, and also received an award at the 5th IDC Turkey DX Summit for its SOBE Text Mining project. Both projects, which exemplify Anadolu Sigorta's digital transformation journey, contribute to environmental and economic sustainability by enhancing efficiency.

Focusing on customer satisfaction through innovative products and services, Anadolu Sigorta won two awards in the IDC Future Enterprise award program at The IDC Future Enterprise EMEA Awards and the 5th IDC Turkey DX Summit. The “AS’lı Yapay Zeka ile Cam Onarım/Değişim Tespit” project received the Special Award for Digital Innovation at The IDC Future Enterprise EMEA Awards, while the SOBE Text Mining project was honored in the Best in Future of Digital Infrastructure category at the 5th IDC Turkey DX Summit.

With the motto “Repair Instead of Replace,” Anadolu Sigorta continues its efforts to prevent unnecessary part replacements in damage processes and to expand repair options. The “AS’lı Yapay Zeka ile Cam Onarım/Değişim Tespit” project utilizes artificial intelligence to facilitate various conveniences for vehicle owners dealing with glass damage. When vehicle owners upload a photo of their damaged windshield on the Anadolu Sigorta website, the AI can determine whether the AS’lı windshield crack is suitable for repair. Policyholders can easily schedule appointments to benefit from repair or replacement services, enabling them to have small cracks (not exceeding the size of a 1 TL coin) repaired without affecting the driver’s line of sight. This repair service provides a cost advantage to policyholders without affecting their no-claims discount, regardless of the number of repairs.

To prevent insurance fraud, the fourth module of the SOBE - Fraud Detection Platform, developed using Anadolu Sigorta's internal software resources, involves text mining to detect fraud from expert reports. This module aims to address fraud issues by employing advanced text mining techniques to analyze unstructured text areas in expert reports across both auto and non-auto branches. The module focuses on converting unstructured text data into structured information, analyzing expert comments, damage evaluations, and cause-effect relationships. Additionally, natural language processing (NLP) tools are utilized to enhance the detection of fraud models, with data extracted being analyzed to find key words, patterns, and relationships indicative of fraudulent behavior.

Anadolu Sigorta Assistant General Manager Korhan Kuyu stated, “We are pleased with the success we achieved this year through programs that recognize the best practices in digital transformation and innovation, such as the AS’lı Yapay Zeka ile Cam Onarım/Değişim Tespit project and SOBE Text Mining. With these projects, we have once again demonstrated our digital capabilities by ranking among the leading companies in innovation, digital transformation, and operational excellence across Europe, the Middle East, Turkey, and Africa (EMEA). Our innovative project, AS’lı Yapay Zeka ile Cam Onarım/Değişim Tespit, reduces costs and simplifies our customers' lives while contributing to environmental sustainability and providing significant savings in the vehicle glass renewal sector, which is reliant on imports, thus serving our country’s sustainable economic development. Through SOBE Text Mining, we are also speeding up the file review timelines for experts by adding a text mining module that operates in parallel with the existing rule engine, social network analysis, and analytical model modules.”
